The one about joyous moments (Part 2)...

24th June, Saturday - Of course Sue Khoon & Yan's wedding continued with another dinner for their friends which incorporated the signing ceremony. Unfortunately, the persistent rain put paid to the couple's plans to have a garden wedding but the event was no less elegant and colourful. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves...

Bride & Groom arriving early...

Yan checking out the decor...

Sue starting on some early child care practice...

Jo, the Wedding Planner...

Yes, there's a cake underneath there!...

A great shot of the Bride & Groom...

Signed & sealed...

And out comes the bubbly...

One for posterity...

The Happy Couple...

The Happy Couple-to-be?...

It all ends with a kiss...

We were all still reeling from the whirlwind events of the last two weeks when Sue & Yan invited the "helpers" to dinner last night at the E&O Hotel. We had a sumptious buffet and although the food was at its usual high standards, the crowd was strangely missing. Probably just a quiet night for them. After the meal, we all dashed across to Soho's and grabbed our reserved seats in front of the big screen TV to catch the live World Cup match between England & Portugal. The atmosphere was electric as the mostly partisan crowd wore the English colours proudly. Alas the happiness turned to gloom as England crashed again - losing on penalty kicks.

Today, we caught the new Superman movie with the gang. It wasn't half bad as the movie centred around his personal relationship with Lois Lane amidst fighting crime. I thought the direction was crisp and kept the film moving at a consistent yet gripping pace. If you are into comic book movie remakes, I don't know how accurate this adaptation is, but it made for an entertaining afternoon.

Tomorrow morning, mum will be going in for her 10th instalment of chemotherapy. Uncle Gilbert will also be going to KL for a check-up. Guess, health isn't one thing we can take for granted. Better get off my butt and go for my own check-up soon. Till next time...
